The native Frankfurter moved from FSV Frankfurt's youth team to Mainz in the summer of 2020. However, he has only made two appearances for the Rhineland-Palatinate team's professional squad so far.

Why is the loan sensible?

Mainz sports director Niko Bungert said: „Given the strong competition in his position in our squad, the loan to 1. FC Saarbrücken is now a sensible next step to further promote this development.“

The 21-year-old said: „The FCS is a club with a lot of appeal and clear goals.“ He wants to prove himself in Saarbrücken and develop further athletically.
